Antony Smith

"Antony works as a Nurse Consultant at University Hospitals Dorset. His clinical responsibilities span the entire patient journey from hyper-acute stroke diagnosis and management, to ward wounds, follow-up and TIA clinics. His specialist areas of interest consist of extending treatment windows for ischaemic stroke patients and pathway optimisation.

He's passionate about education and advancing nursing practice, sitting on the Wessex education and workforce committee and faculty member for the newly formed national stroke simulation course. He plays an active role in research having presented at stroke and emergency nursing conferences nationally and internationally, and plans to begin his doctorate in the near future"
