Jeanette Grocott

Jeanette is a Practice Development Nurse in Neurosciences with extensive experience in stroke care, which she has been involved in since shortly after qualifying in 2005. She has worked as both a stroke nurse and a research nurse, focusing on assessing patients with stroke symptoms and studying stroke-related issues. Jeanette holds a Master’s degree in Stroke, with a particular interest in safe fluid intake following a stroke, and has successfully presented posters on this topic at previous Stroke Forums.
Currently, Jeanette is responsible for providing education in Neurosciences, including organising training on neurological conditions. She also teaches nursing students at Keele University and has served as a committee member for the NICE guideline update for Stroke. Although she no longer works directly on the Stroke unit, Jeanette is dedicated to ensuring that staff receive proper training and are competent in delivering stroke care.
