Carolyne Dawson

Carolyne has been a qualified nurse since 2004 and has worked in Stroke for her whole career. She started in an acute hospital Stroke and Neuro Rehab unit and then moved to a Community Rehab unit with Stroke beds in 2007.

In 2008 she changed roles and set up a local Community Stroke Team. This role developed over time in to the Community Stroke Matron role she now has. In 2013 she set up a limited ESD service and in 2017 this developed in to a 7 day 6 week ESD service.

She is a Stroke Steward for her local ICS and involved in the development of the whole Stroke pathway across the ICS. She is passionate about rehabilitation post Stroke and life after Stroke.
