Dr Hazel Dickinson

Hazel's nursing career has involved working in elderly care and stroke. She has worked on an acute stroke unit, as a stroke specialist nurse, stroke research nurse and now as a nurse educator. Hazel has experience clinically across the whole of the stroke pathway from community to hospital back to community. She has been involved in stroke service development in particular team notes, integrated working, nurse led clinics and early supportive discharge. She has extensive experience in working in research which includes clinical trials, Motivational interviewing after stroke, continence after stroke and oral care. Hazel’s interests are in oral care, psychological interventions, evidence based nursing care and nurse education.
