Stroke Specialist Nurse, Sunderland Royal Hospital
Diane's nursing career has included working in orthopedics, intensive care, stroke research and as a team leader for the North East Stroke Research Network.
Diane facilitates and delivers multi professional stroke education and takes a lead role with all stroke service developments in addition to the current alliance between South Tyneside Hospital and Sunderland Royal Hospital. She is involved in development of acute services including the thrombolysis pathway and nurse led review clinics at 3 and 6 months post stroke. Diane is research active and involved in providing education and training for medical and nursing staff in Stroke & TIA Assessment Training (STAT), postgraduate practice development in stroke programme. Her interests are in education, training and psychological wellbeing.
